Perennial. Blooms in summer to first frost. 12 -15 tall. Full sun. 3 deep red semi-double flowers with wide gold edges. Commonly called Blanket Flower. Goblin is a compact dwarf Gaillardia and continuous bloomer. It is a very easy to grow drought tolerant plant that is truly a star garden performer! Attracts butterflies. Blanket Flowers were named after their resemblance to an Indian blanket. The Gaillardia name comes from Gaillard de Charentonneay, an 18th century Frenchman, an enthusiastic lover of the science of botany. INDOORS: Sow in spring as soon as soil can be worked or early fall at least 2 months before first frost. A late fall sowing may also be successful, with plants germinating in spring. INDOORS: Sow 6-8 weeks before average last spring frost.
